ABSTRACT
This chapter aims at providing a comprehensive insight into recent
developments and applications of gradient metasurfaces to control
and engineer the propagation of electromagnetic waves. We explore
various aspects of this technology, starting from miniaturized meta-
surface building blocks at the lowest level, moving to primary optical
elements for radiation patterning, and ultimately incorporating
graded metasurfaces into more complex optical devices.
