ABSTRACT
In our country there is still no economical and effective method for slope stability of expressway. Empirical indexes of some important physical magnitudel are used to evaluate the safety of slope, and the indexes are significantly influenced by human factors, for example, professional knowledge and experience of persons. These factors are uncertain and seriously influence on effectiveness of the monitoring. To solve this problem, a management information system of slope stability with remote monitoring by computer is provided (Li et al. 2003).
