ABSTRACT
I. BACKGROUND Trichinellosis represents a parasitic zoonosis induced by the nematodes of the genus Trichinella. This parasitic invasion follows consumption of raw or semiraw meat of animals infected with Trichinella larvae and is cosmopolitan in distribution.
