ABSTRACT

Game design for mobile games is in many ways easier as well as harder than their PC and console counterparts and all sides have learned tremendously from each other over the years. Successfully developing mobile games requires more than putting a fun game together, and this chapter will outline a base structure in which the avid developer can expand his studies. The chapter is especially intended for game designers and product managers but will be useful for executive producers/game leads and others associated with game production. What this chapter is not: it is not a "how to" manual or a step-by-step guide to making games. It will function as a primer as to what topics to learn more about and how the topics discussed in this chapter relate to each other.
