ABSTRACT
Nowadays the Internet of Things (IoT) is the technology that is used everywhere to connect the things with the internet for better convenience and various functionalities. A smart grid having the great importance for promoting the technology and economic, therefore for enhanced efficiency and stability with the help of automatic controls, it can be considered as a modern electric power grid. In this paper we are explaining the concept of a smart grid using the wireless sensor network WSN such as Zigbee, challenges to use WSN in smart grid, various communication technologies and advantages of WSN over Zigbee.
