H3(α, γ)Li7 and He3(α,γ)Be7 Reactions

The cross sections for the H³(α,γ)Li⁷ and He³(α,γ)Be⁷ reactions have been measured at bombarding energies of 480, 720, 940, 1130, and 1320 kev. The cross sections at the lower bombarding energies may be fitted within the experimental uncertainties by the expressions σ = 0.12(1 − 0.00051.E_a )E_a ⁻¹ exp(−125E_a ⁻¹) b for the H³ reaction and σ = 2.8(1−0.00055E_a )E_a ⁻¹ exp(−250E_a ⁻¹) b for the He³ reaction, with E_a in kev.
