ABSTRACT
Communicable diseases have been present since time immemorial. In the recent scenario, COVID-19 has caused severe morbidity and mortality of humans globally. Also, it has resulted in a global economic crisis. The international response to this coronavirus is a challenge of the century especially to the governments to protect their people with efforts for instant accurate screening, curative treatment, and preventive vaccine. With curative treatments in research, complementary and holistic care with herbal medicines in handling COVID-19 is adjunctively practiced to promote the immune system. The COVID-19 pandemic has evoked digital health care at peak levels from optional to essential. The advancement in computer science, artificial intelligence, and robotic technology is a big leap in the digital world. Apart from the community, at large, medical care professionals are at high risk due to professional contact. This could be timely overcome by robots. Robotic research is the need of the hour to face the current and future challenges. To enhance it, an orchestrated global multidisciplinary funding is essential to face any such pandemic in the future. It is the utmost responsibility of humans to save the world by virtue of their blessed rational knowledge and intellect.
