ABSTRACT
Situated on the West African coast, Lagos is Africa’s biggest city and also the fastest growing metropolis in the world. In 2011, the United Nations estimated its population at approximately 11.2 million. However, in its metropolitan area, this city is believed to have more than 20 million inhabitants (Shelley, 2015).
