ABSTRACT
Amusement parks, also known as Luna Parks, are places that every person has either visited or dreams to visit. Reliability theory deals with the ability of an object to perform consistently and maintain the required function or task within a specified time period under specific conditions. The most popular reliability indices are the mean time till first failure and the availability and maintainability of the system. A correct and complete maintenance program preserves the equipment at the required level of reliability and operation, increases the availability of equipment when maintenance duration is as short as possible, reduces maintenance costs, reduces equipment wear, and extends its service life. Maintainability is the ability of a functional unit to be retained in a state in which it can perform a required function when maintenance is performed under given conditions and using stated procedures and resources. Maintenance includes activities such as monitoring, tests, measurements, replacements, adjustments, repairs, and in some cases administrative actions.
