ABSTRACT
In this chapter the treatment of the Guillain-Barre syndrome (GBS) with intravenous immunoglobulin (IVIG) is discussed. The diagnosis of Guillain-Barre syndrome is essentially a clinical one. Therefore, first the spectrum and the pathogenesis of GBS and its clinical variants will be described.
