ABSTRACT
Renee Powell was last seen alive at approximately 7:30 p.m. on February 24, 1995. Previously, she had driven to a nearby Albertson’s Supermarket to purchase some cigarettes, a newspaper, and some ice. Police investigation revealed that upon returning to her apartment at 2228 NE 197th Place, Apartment B, she had sucient time to make a jar of iced tea. In addition, it was discovered that Renee was doing laundry in the building’s laundry room, which was adjacent to her lower apartment unit. e apartment structure was a two-story residence containing four units.
