ABSTRACT

Clavulanic acid, sulbactam, tazobactam, brobactam, avibactam, relebactam, and vaborbactam are beta-lactamase inhibitors that have limited intrinsic antibacterial activity. They inhibit the activity of a number of beta-lactamases. The chemical structure of the beta-lactamase inhibitors discussed in this chapter are shown in Figure 13.1.
