ABSTRACT

This paper serves as a call to establish guidelines and considerations necessary for proper ethical treatment of those who will be measured and categorized based on neurotechnologieal methodologies. Included in this discussion is the notion of "brain privacy" with respect to the protection of identity and free-will. An examination of current technologies will be presented, along with a look towards potential future technologies, and the ethical implications that both may hold. The ethical dilemma of brain privacy and measurement will be grounded in classical and modem philosophies to establish a basis for ongoing discussion in the ever developing realm of :.Jeuroscienee.
