ABSTRACT

Seed is handled in many ways in bulk or bags, but during conditioning it is moved from machine to machine entirely by mechanical bulk flow means, in a continuous flow. However, the flow is complicated by differences in capacity of different machines, and by management considerations. The management objective is to keep seed moving, avoid having to stop the entire line, and clean seed to high standards at the least cost in the least time. This requires a carefully planned and managed seed movement system.

Efficiency of Seed Movement Determines Operating Efficiency
