ABSTRACT
Honey is the sweet food produced by honeybees and resulting from the nectar of ¨owers or secretions of living parts of plants or excretions of sucking insects remaining on the surface of the plants that the bees collect, transform, combine with speci¤c substances of their own, store, and leave to mature in honeycombs (Crane 1990). Honey contains nutrients such as carbohydrates, proteins, amino acids, vitamins, and minerals.
