ABSTRACT

ABSTRACT: To accomplish simulation of virtual spinal orthopedic surgery, a spine model has been developed as a rigid-flexible multi-body system based on the theory of multi-body dynamics and recursive spine systematic construction. The rigid-flexible multi-body system integrated centrum and intervertebral disc has been constructed and visualized by the Simbody platform. The main purpose of this paper is to actually model functional spinal unit average stiness simulation and the lumbar spine’s basic movements, including flexion, extension, bending, and rotation.
