ABSTRACT
In this paper, the generation of artistic fractal patterns has been studied. According to the Julia set, we have studied the relationships between the morphology and mathematical parameters of fractal patterns, especially in the control factors of the generated fractal patterns, and thus we have established a practical model of fractal pattern generation. Then, the escape time algorithm was used to generate artistic fractal patterns and a computer program has been developed with help of MATLAB. Finally, the patterns were generated by the developed program which could be applied to the artistic pattern design.
