ABSTRACT

Recently, wireless sensor network (WSN) enjoys a fast development in many fields. For example, WSN can be applied in climate monitoring, military communication, space detection, intelligent agriculture and so on [1]. But WSN is different from the traditional network because there are some limitations. On one hand, the sensor nodes are usually powered by batteries, the energy of each node is limited. When the energy of the node is depleted, the node will lose its working ability. When the deleted nodes ratio increases up to a certain value, the whole network will broke down. So the design of WSN need take the energy consumption as the first target, including deployment strategy, routing protocols, etc. On the other hand, the node transmission range is limited, so the node needs to transmit data through multi-hop communication which needs the routing protocols to point the transmit path for the node. For these reasons, the energy efficient routing protocols has become a hot research filed in wireless sensor network.
