ABSTRACT
ALLERGIC REACTIONS Patch testing is done routinely in all patients with a history of an allergy to ensure they will not have a reaction to the pigment. This test should be carried out three to four weeks prior to the procedure and can conveniently be performed by a needle scratch to a mutually acceptable area (e.g., postauricular). This area should be examined after a period of 24 hours.
