ABSTRACT

Based on Tyler’s Rationale for Curriculum Development, the concept of a course of study can be defi ned as a sequence of planned science topics to be taught in relation to a specifi c subject matter, for a particular age group of students, accompanied by recommendations as to what to teach in the classroom and laboratory. The planned curriculum recommends several textbooks written according to its organization, with suggested modes of instruction, learning, evaluation, and grading of students.
