ABSTRACT

Male femaling takes place in three major modes: body femaling, erotic femaling and gender femaling. These are broadly comparable with facets of sex, sexuality and gender, respectively, where ‘sex’ refers to the biological and physiological aspects of the division of humans into male and female; ‘sexuality’ to ‘those matters pertaining to the potential arousability and engorgement of the genitals’ (Plummer, 1979:53); and ‘gender’ to the sociocultural correlates of the division of the sexes.
