ABSTRACT
Behavioural approaches to problem behaviour can be thought of as arising from a combination of two broad theoretical standpoints—the behaviouristic and the humanistic. However, each of these terms stands for a family of approaches, and it is doubtful whether any living member of either family fully satisfies the criteria for either label. Intermediate positions are much more common.
