ABSTRACT
Sea level rise will disproportionately affect low-lying islands. This chapter outlines the reasons for sea level rise. Focusing on the Republic of the Marshall Islands and its main island, Majuro, it discusses the predicted impacts of sea level rise by 2050 and the solutions being put forward by the islands’ inhabitants to address them.
