ABSTRACT
Hear Thee Our Plea is an invitation to heed the calls for equity, respect, and kindness from the black community and discern that we are all “equal” as human beings and “equally susceptible” to the potent strain of a pandemic virus. It is a call to critically reflect on our voices, attitudes, and actions and realize that only through togetherness and unity can we find the strength to overcome the impending challenge of a pandemic.
