ABSTRACT

Craig Gregersen was struggling to find his way through what no longer seemed to be a golden opportunity for his budding consulting practice. Five weeks previously, he had been hired by a large international corporation to design a training program that would be delivered to its employees around the world. The assignment had seemed to be a perfect fit when Electron Corporation asked him to be the lead designer for a course on product liability. He did, after all, have a law degree and had received his Ph.D. in instructional design a year earlier. However, now it seemed that his name was going to be associated with a course that would satisfy no one and that would almost certainly not accomplish its intended goals.
