ABSTRACT
This chapter presents activity to assist participants in exploring their personal values and how these values can impact the services they provide to clients from other cultural backgrounds different from their own cultural background. This activity will also assist participants in learning how their cultural values can lead to social injustices for their clients and how they can work to combat these potential issues. This activity takes approximately 45–60 minutes. The length of time needed to complete the activity may be impacted by the number of members in the group. It assists participants in assessing how their cultural values can have an impact on social justice issues that may be a challenge for their clients. Participants are asked to select a sheet of construction paper to represent their top six values and write the value at the top left side of the appropriate piece of construction paper.
