ABSTRACT

Introduction A myriad of supply chain management tools are now available to provide intelligent decision support and execution management. However, no single tool provides the complete range of desired capabilities to manage today’s complex supply chain processes. Most tools have a functional focus on a single link, or a small set of links, in the chain. Changing mar ket conditions and increasing acknowledgement within companies of the importance of supply chain concepts and process orientation have creat ed the demand for a totally integrated supply chain solution.
