ABSTRACT

The purpose of this chapter is to describe the research process and report results of a project designed to increase our knowledge of work conditions for women working in two industrial clusters in the oil and gas industry in Norway. In order to retain and increase the share of female employees and leaders, the cluster’s female network project, NEW (NODE EYDE Women), initiated a research project to produce knowledge about female employees and leaders working in the cluster member companies, and to acquire information about their situation and any needs for improvement. The project and its results are described later in this chapter. In particular, the interaction between researchers and stakeholders of the project, as well as the use of the results of the project, are reported.
