ABSTRACT

Around 1346, the Catalan magician Beringarius Ganellus completed the Summa sacre magice or Compendium of sacred magic in five books. Due to its complexity and its length of over 200,000 words, this work stands out as the most thorough overview of Latin medieval magic transmitted to our day.
