ABSTRACT

Chapter 7, written by Dr. Darrell C. Ray and Dr. Scott Radimer, explores the skills and knowledge provided by graduate preparation programs and professional development opportunities that have been deemed most useful, by this book’s contributors, for their staff. This chapter addresses the curricula and also practical experiences that are necessary to prepare professionals and also identifies the gaps that currently exist in these programs in order to make recommendations for the areas in which these programs could better address the needs of urban institutions and their constituents.
