ABSTRACT

All law degree programmes are three years long and result in the awarding of either the LLB or BCL (Bachelor of Civil Law). Many law schools offer combined law degrees, with either arts or business, and postgraduate studies at both the masters and doctorate levels. All common law Canadian law school programmes are recognised by the respective law societies within the common law Provinces, as are all the civil law school programmes recognised by the Barreau du Quebec and La Chambre des Notaires du Quebec.
