ABSTRACT

Over the course of my career, I have had the opportunity to experience hundreds of environments as a consultant and have seen many different styles of enterprise architecture (or what appeared as such). Most interesting were the environments in which the architect’s behavior posed a significant challenge to the well-being of the enterprise. Unfortunately, in many organizations architects by their background tend to have a lot of control over the design and fate of technology in their organizations. If the architectures from these architects are ineffective, their stewardship of technology is a problem for the enterprise.
