ABSTRACT
Table 2-10 demonstrates the use of the modified K-M estimator using the
data set of Table 2-8 in x2.3.3. Note that the mean rank estimates shown earlier in Table 2-8 are in agreement with the modified K-M estimates of FðtÞ shown in Table 2-10. We also observe that these procedures do not provide useful
information beyond the last recorded failure, which, for this example, occurred
at t ¼ 1099 hr, with R^ ¼ 0:2922.
