ABSTRACT
The qualitative Risk Assessment phase discussed in Chapter 5 takes identified risks and lists them in priority order for further action and may also consider grouping risks into categories to focus management attention on hot spots of exposure. Each risk is treated as distinct, independent, and separate from each other risk. While this is an important step to develop understanding both of individual risks and of the overall risk exposure facing the project, it is a necessary simplification of the situation.
