ABSTRACT
A Project Management Contractor/Consultant (PMC) is an engineering company, other than Engineering, Procurement, Construction contractors, specialized in process plant projects. Owner is a single person or more persons in partnership or a company or a joint venture of companies that have decided to invest on a project. It is the "Client" to all other parties taking some role in the project, excluding national and local permit-granting authorities. Engineering contractor is one of the most important actors in implementing industrial plant projects. In some projects, scope of the engineering contractor covers only engineering or engineering plus procurement services. All purchase orders placed to vendors and contracts awarded to construction companies include detailed specifications and references to codes for inspection and testing in order to achieve the intended quality. In general, consultants are persons or a group of persons who give professional expert advice to people on business, law, and technology.
