ABSTRACT

The chapter deals with practical issues of implementation of sustainable leadership and provides coaching practices for the development of sustainable leadership. The types and stages of coaching and different models of coaching, such as the GROW model and T model, are discussed and critically assessed. The importance of leadership awards practices is highlighted by presenting the case study of Lithuania on the competitions for the best manager (leader) held annually in the country. Three practical examples of sustainable leadership practices in enterprise operating in different sectors are presented from Lithuania as well. The sustainable leadership practices are investigated in knitwear company Garlita, isothermal bodies, trailers, and semi-trailers producing company Schmitz Cargobull Baltic, and transport telematics company Ruptela. The good practice case studies of sustainable leadership presented in the chapter offer more insights into sustainable leadership practices providing a lot of benefits for the growth and competitiveness of the companies and ensuring the workplace quality and job satisfaction for their employees.
