ABSTRACT

This chapter suggests a hybrid encryption framework based on the Rubik’s cube as a means to attain simultaneous encryption of a group of images. The suggested hybrid encryption framework begins with CFB operation mode of chaotic Baker map permutation or Advanced Encryption Standard or RC6 technique as a first step for encrypting the multiple images, separately. Then, the resulting encrypted images are further encrypted in a second stage with Rubik’s cube technique. The encrypted images are further transported through a wireless channel with different versions of OFDM system, and decrypted at the receiver side. The chapter discusses various channel impairments, such as AWGN and fading. It investigates channel equalization in order to study its effect on the quality of the received image images. The chapter focuses on the ability of the suggested hybrid encryption framework to deal with channel degradations.
