ABSTRACT

This chapter discusses the basic of liquid crystal display and its features. It also discusses the interfacing of liquid crystal display with 8051 and NuttyFi with the help of circuit diagram and programming. “Liquid Crystal Display” (LCD) is used to display alpha numeric characters. The liquid crystals matrixes are manufactured from complicated molecules. Similar to water, they alter their state from solid to liquid, reckoning on the temperature to that they're exposed. LCD has the distinct advantage of getting low power consumption than the semiconductor diode. A liquid cell consists of a skinny layer of a liquid sandwiched between two glass sheets with clear electrodes deposited on their within faces.
