ABSTRACT

The book takes the approach that the most intuitive setting in which to study real analysis for the first time is sequences of real numbers. In this chapter we give the basic methods that will be used later in terms of sequences. Included are topics such as Cauchy sequences, the Bolzano-Weierstrass Theorem and techniques that will be used extensively in later chapters.
