ABSTRACT

Electrical power is used as an energy source for heating, cooling, ventilating, lighting, and other systems used in a building. Electrical power is simple to use compared to other power systems. Electrical power production is an important part of the complete electrical power system. The property of inductance is often encountered in electrical power systems. Electrical power can be produced in many ways, such as from chemical reactions, heat, light, or mechanical energy. The great majority of our electrical power is produced by power plants located throughout our country which convert the energy produced by burning coal, oil, the falling of water, or from nuclear reactions into electrical energy. Electrical generators at these power plants are driven by steam or gas turbines or by hydraulic turbines, in the case of hydroelectric plants. The supply and demand situation for electrical energy is much different from the other products that are produced by an organization and later sold to consumers.
