Document Modeling and Source Representation in Content-Based Image Retrieval

With the rapid growth of digitized images available, efficient and robust techniques for managing the images have become increasingly more important. A particular challenge is that it is considerably difficult to organize the raw digital form of images in a semantically sensible structure for easy indexing and retrieval. There has been a plethora of research that tackles this problem by analyzing multidimensional data and extracting features from them for the purpose of retrieval.
