ABSTRACT
Because electromotors are such an integral part of hermetic refrigeration and air conditioning compressors, they are briefly discussed here. On the other hand, power sources for large compressors, be they external electromotors or diesel engines for large air and gas compressors, are not discussed because of the limited scope of this book.
