ABSTRACT
A leaving-the-scene-of-an-accident investigation often involves injury or death of individuals, damage to vehicles, and damage to property. In these types of cases, the careful search for transfer trace evidence exchanged between the principals of the accident is crucial to identifying the vehicle that left the scene. Often the ability to solve these crimes, and reconstruct the accidents, is based solely on the trace evidence collected.
