ABSTRACT
The last global financial disruption of a comparable magnitude to the Credit
Crunch was the market crash of 1929 and the subsequent Great Depression.
The similarities between the Crunch and these events are considerable, so it
is appropriate to look back eighty years. Insights into the Crunch and how to
tackle it abound in the events of 1929-1935.
