ABSTRACT

It must be recognized that plaster will invariably have some color inconsistencies. This may occur even when there has been stringent adherence to a well developed quality control program. At best, the objective is to minimize the color inconsistencies. The owner and architect may help mitigate this issue by specifying white cement or a fog coat in the design documents. These options may be costly, but will provide for a premium finish. White cement has a premium cost, but provides a much more consistent color base than the less expensive and more common grey cement.
