ABSTRACT
On condition that sufficient quality of the weld root can be attained there is the possibility of one-sided welding without complex support of the molten pool. The heat subsequent to the G M A welding process can cause an additional limited effect of temper ing — the so-called short-time post-heating of the mostly hard structure of the laser beam welded seam.
