ABSTRACT

Nuclear science has been and remains a major contributor to various areas of medicine. Various radionuclides are used for diagnosis and treatment of deseases and a lot of medical and biological investigations, nuclear analytical methods are used to determine the content of the different microelements in human organism, human nutrition and environment, labeling allows us to study in viva functioning of different organs. Experts hold that for normal functioning a person needs different quantities of about 15 main microelements such as iodine, iron, copper, zinc, cobalt and selenium, and radioactivation methods of analysis, in particular the photoactivation technique, play a major role in these studies.
