ABSTRACT

Figs. 2(a) and (b) show electron diffraction patterns obtained from the equivalent [010] zone of both the ternary Nds Tis011 and quaternary N~SrTi 5 011 specimens. The former was indexed on the basis

4. CONCLUSIONS The technique of phase image restoration has been used to refme the microstructure of the modulated quaternary phase N<4SrTi50 17 • Modulus images obtained from the (010] crystallographic zone provide clear evidence of systematic cation column displacements at the perovskite slab interfaces of this material. Nanobeam electron diffraction experiments reveal the long range nature of this modulation while annealing of the sample forces the crystal into a more ordered twin-type arrangement.
