ABSTRACT
A. Pro If the characteristic features of Crohn's disease are found, all other types of colitis are excluded. This is unlikely to be the case, however, unless the involvement in the colon is advanced. Early in the course of the disease, x-ray features are probably lacking to separate Crohn 's colitis from ulcerative colitis, infectious colitis, amebic colitis, pseudomembranous colitis, ischemic colitis, radiation colitis, cytomegalovirus (CMV) colitis, and diversion colitis.
