ABSTRACT
Site Standardization Site standardization is an effort toward the long-term, uniform development of design approaches, systems, materials, and operation and maintenance practices for a facility. Facilities, especially larger, multi-building facilities, should im plement standards for design, systems, purchased material, and also for train ing, operation, and maintenance. Site standardization assures the continuous de velopment of facilities systems, and their uniformity, which in turn translates to more productive maintenance, and reduced training, operating, and material costs. Many facilities have adopted standardization as a measure to contain their operating and maintenance costs.
